WRU DIVISION 1 CUP
BUILTH WELLS 37pts. DOWLAIS 13pts.
What looked like an even contest between two sides with similar League records ended up somewhat one sided.
If you receive two yellow and two red cards and an excess penalty count you are not going to win many games.
With two yellows in the first half Dowlais was still in the game at half time, with two penalties and a conversion from Connor Murphy and a try from Luke Palmer. With the score 15-10 to Builth at half-time and with the wind in their favour it looked as if Dowlais could turn things in their favour.
But all hopes were dashed when the Dowlais Captain James Churchill was given a red card at the start of the second half. The wheels quickly fell off and there is not much you can say against a try count of 7to1, an afternoon to forget.
